After leaving drum corps: Stacey spent 12 years in dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio as a registered Dental Hygienist. In 2003 she co-founded Spellbinders PaperArts (go to the website), a company that manufacturers die cutting and embossing products for the arts and crafts industry. Her products are distributed worldwide and in major craft chain stores in the U.S. as well as appearing on QVC and HSN on cable networks.
How the Bluecoats made a difference: The corps, and the guard, taught her dedication and the “never give up” attitude. She cites these attributes as key to aiding in her business success. She was awarded “Enterprising Women of the Year” award from Enterprising Women Magazine and her business has ranked the past two years in the Inc 500/5000 listing, which ranks the fastest growing privately held companies in America.
